Accident kills Texas AM Football player and two others

The accident that claimed the lives of Polo Manukainiu, age 19 a Texas A&M football player, Gaius Vaenuku, an incoming freshman football player for the Utah Utes, and 13 year old Lolo Uhatafe, the younger brother of Utes lineman Salesi Uhatafe, points to the need for proper window glazing of cars, trucks and SUVs. When windows are properly glazed, even unbelted passengers are not ejected. The likelihood of severe injury or death increases dramatically when passengers are ejected from a vehicle during an accident. The technology to properly design windows so that occupants remain in the vehicle has been available for years. Those who were ejected and killed in this accident, in all likelihood could have survived had they remained within the vehicle.
Also injured in this accident were Salesi Uhatafe and his father – such a tragedy for the families involved.
