Q: How does your work as a personal injury attorney make a difference?
A: As an attorney at the Turley Law Firm, my work helps ease the pain in each of my clients’ lives and makes the world a safer place. I appreciate the opportunity to stand with my clients each step of the way: helping them navigate the many obstacles and challenges in our justice system.
Mashhood (“Mimi”) Ghassemi has been handling cases at the Turley Law Firm since joining as a law clerk and has continued advocating on behalf of our clients as an attorney. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas and SMU Dedman School of Law. Through her involvement in the legal field over the past six years, she is experienced in negotiating settlements, conducting complex legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing contracts, and litigating cases both collaboratively and independently in state and federal courts.
During law school, Ms. Ghassemi worked in the SMU Consumer Clinic where she discovered her passion for plaintiff advocacy by litigating cases on behalf of victimized consumers. Dedicated to giving back to the community and helping people in need, she served as Vice President of the Association for Public Interest Law and worked closely with indigent clients in the community at the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. As Articles Editor and Case Note and Comments Editor on SMU’s International Law Review Association, Ms. Ghassemi devoted her time to analyzing up-and-coming legal issues.
