Ms.
Nguyen was born in Qui Nhon, Vietnam but has spent the majority of her
life in the Dallas metroplex. Ms. Nguyen received her Bachelor of
Arts degree in Psychology in 1991 and her Master of Arts degree in
Experimental Psychology in 1993, both from Southern Methodist University (SMU).
In 2005, Ms. Nguyen graduated from SMU's Dedman School of Law and was
admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2005. She is a member
of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Dallas Bar
Association, Dallas Asian American Bar Association, Association of Trial
Lawyers of America, and the Higginbotham Inn of Court (2006-2007). Ms.
Nguyen is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and the United
States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of
Texas.
Ms. Nguyen joined the firm directly from law
school; however, she has worked under the close guidance of Windle Turley
since May 2004 on a variety of cases, special projects, and research and
writing. During her law school career, Ms. Nguyen was Vice-President
of the Student Bar Association; Public Relations Representative of the
Asian-American Law Students Association; Tutor in the Assisted Skills
Assessment Program; Research Assistant for Prof. William Dorsaneo; student
member of the William "Mac" Taylor Inn of Court; and Master
level member of the Board of Advocates. In 2004, Ms. Nguyen won
"Best Brief" and "National Champion" in the Hispanic
National Bar Association Moot Court competition. In 2005, she was a
finalist and won "Best Oralist" in the Howie Sweeney Moot Court
competition.
Prior to law school, Ms. Nguyen worked for eight
years in Information Technology consulting for Fortune 500 companies in
management, sales, and recruiting. She was a member of the
President’s Club and recognized with multiple "Recruiting
Excellence" and "Corporate Best Practices" awards.
